By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com Cirilo McSween Sr., the man who carried Martin Luther King's coffin and who practically raised Panamanian President Martin Torrijos in Chicago, told me yesterday that he has "no idea" of any problems or involvement of his family with regards to irregular real estate deals on the island of Cayo de Agua in Bocas del Toro. I contacted Mr. McSween yesterday and we spoke on the phone for about thirty minutes. I explained to Mr. McSween that my investigation is uncovering a network of unscrupulous lawyers, real estate agents, and corrupt local government officials are working together to effectively steal land from poor, indigenous Indians on the islands who are acting in the name of rich, powerful, and connected people, and that the actions of these people are damaging his family's credibility.
